The news
The ZoomInfo DoubleO.ai acquisition, announced September 30, 2026, gives ZoomInfo Technologies (GTM) an agent orchestration platform for sales and marketing work. On October 1, the company launched Agent Teams, built on DoubleO.ai's technology, inside its GTM Studio product with no new SKU or contract.
ZoomInfo did not disclose financial terms. DoubleO.ai was founded in 2024 by Derek Osgood, its chief executive, and Karthik Suresh, its chief technology officer. The pair previously co-founded Ignition, a go-to-market operations platform later acquired by Klue. ZoomInfo said DoubleO.ai's technology already runs go-to-market workflows at Fortune 500 companies and well-funded software firms.
Orchestration, in this context, means coordinating several AI agents so a multi-step task runs the same way each time. ZoomInfo framed the deal around reliability: its release said agents asked to go beyond simple questions tended to make things up or behave inconsistently. Osgood said he built DoubleO.ai "to run complex workflows reliably, every time."
According to ZoomInfo, Agent Teams coordinates specialized agents that share context across a customer's systems, its signals and ZoomInfo's data, choosing next steps from an account's current state rather than following a fixed workflow. Example plays include tracking champions, the internal advocates behind a purchase, when they change jobs and mapping the buying committee at their new employer, and finding lookalikes of closed-won deals for tailored outreach.
The agents draw on ZoomInfo's data on more than 100 million companies and 500 million contacts. ZoomInfo also sells GTM.AI, which it describes as a home for AI agents through its API and Model Context Protocol connections, linking to Salesforce Agentforce, HubSpot Breeze, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Claude and ChatGPT, among others. Caroline Burnett, a sales operations leader at Silverfort, said in the launch release that Agent Teams helped her scale revenue operations.
Needham analyst Josh Reilly called the purchase a relatively small tuck-in deal, Investing.com reported, noting that DoubleO.ai is a couple of years old with about 10 employees and estimated revenue of roughly a few million dollars. Needham reiterated its Buy rating and $15 price target on ZoomInfo.

Why CEOs should care
For chief revenue officers, the pitch has shifted from buying records to buying finished work. Instead of judging a data vendor on coverage and accuracy alone, revenue teams now have to judge whether its agents complete a play correctly and consistently. Because Agent Teams ships in GTM Studio with no new contract, existing ZoomInfo customers can run a champion-tracking or lookalike play on their own accounts and measure the results: how often the output is wrong, whether the same inputs produce the same actions, and how much rep time it saves.
CFOs and procurement teams should treat "no new SKU" as a launch term, not a long-term price. ZoomInfo has not said how agent usage will be priced at renewal. Ask whether Agent Teams will draw on credits or usage fees, get price protection in writing, and check how easily plays and their results can be moved into your CRM if you switch vendors. The more of your sales process runs inside one vendor's agents, the harder that vendor becomes to replace.
Security and compliance leaders have their own checklist. Agents that send outreach and update records on their own need clear limits: which systems they can write to, whether a person approves messages before they go out, and whether every action is logged. Ask how the agents authenticate into Salesforce or HubSpot and how contact data is handled under the privacy rules that apply to your markets.
The bigger picture
ZoomInfo is making this move under pressure. Investing.com reported that DA Davidson cut its ZoomInfo price target to $4.25 from $4.50, keeping a Neutral rating and citing potential disruption from AI-native tools. ZoomInfo's answer runs in two directions: it feeds its data into other companies' agents through GTM.AI, and now it runs agents of its own on top of that data.
The deal lets ZoomInfo sell outcomes, such as a mapped buying committee or a drafted outreach sequence, rather than rows in a database. Whether customers will pay more for that depends on whether the agents prove reliable at scale, the problem ZoomInfo says DoubleO.ai was built to solve.
What’s next
Watch for how ZoomInfo prices Agent Teams once launch terms give way to renewals, for customer results beyond the Silverfort endorsement, and for further tuck-in deals. Salesforce and HubSpot, whose Agentforce and Breeze agents connect to GTM.AI, are also selling agents to the same revenue teams, so buyers will need to decide which vendor's agents run each workflow.
What “Fact-checked” means
Fact-checking means testing a story’s facts against the evidence before it is published. This story went through at least two separate checks before this version was published.
- What we checked
- Its names, figures, dates, job titles, quotes and who said what were checked against the story’s sources, including its main source where it could be opened. The headline was checked for accuracy and overstatement.
- How
- A first check reviewed the whole story. If it passed, a second, skeptical check went back to the sources to look for mistakes in the most important facts. If a check flagged the story, it was edited to fix the problems found, and a separate re-check then reviewed the whole story again.
- Who
- The checks are made by our newsroom, as steps kept separate from the writing, under rules set by our editor, Hussein Mukhtar. A story the checks still flag is held for the editor, who decides whether it is fixed, published or dropped.
- If something is wrong
- “Fact-checked” does not mean error-free. If a material error is found after publication, we correct the story and add a note saying what changed. Report an error
